Behind the façade of this former fisherman’s cottage lies a stunning two-level restaurant with balcony seating area offering spectacular sea views, a characterful traditional pub and beer garden.  

With a focus on contemporary Scottish dining with a fresh local twist, Macgochans’ menus are designed to cater for the whole family and all dining requirements, while shining a spotlight on the amazing produce Mull and the surrounding area has to offer. Much of our shellfish is sourced from local fishermen and comes directly from the bay in front of Macgochans, with langoustines, scallops, lobster, oysters and smoked salmon all regular stars on our daily specials board and menus; and much of our meat is sourced from local farms, Glengorm and Sgriob-Ruadh. We also offer an excellent range of delicious gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan dishes.

At Macgochans our philosophy of using as much local produce as possible extends to our drinks range too. Local whiskies and gins, including those from neighbouring Tobermory Distillery, are not in short supply on our back-bar. We also offer an incredible range of beers and ciders, fantastic cocktails and a wonderful wine list, as well as great selection of soft drinks and delicious coffee!

Macgochans is the social hub of Tobermory and is renowned for live music!

We host a packed schedule of live music throughout the year – from up-and-coming local artists to established bands and DJs; from regular weekend sessions to special events; and from smaller, more intimate gigs to the Mull Music Festival – an incredible four days of live music every April!

Whether you're visiting for a light snack, a dram from our impressive malt whisky range or an evening meal, you will be met with a smile and the warmest of welcomes from our fantastic team!
